Process Plant Technology (PPTech) is a South African technology company, based in Johannesburg.

Process Plant Technology specialises in the turnkey supply of engineered systems and plants into the chemical, pulp and paper, mining, minerals, food and beverage industries. The majority of these plants are designed and manufactured locally. The emphasis is on process engineering, specifically heat and mass transfer.

Process Plant Technology's strength lies in identifying client's needs and delivering the optimum solution to meet these needs. This solutions-based approach is supported by our overall knowledge of the various industry sectors and the processes in these sectors and is not limited to in-house technology.

To further underpin this approach, Process Plant Technology has a global network of technology suppliers and partners that provide support in developing appropriate processes and/or systems for each application.

Process Plant Technology's experience in the various aspects of chemical engineering unit operations, makes it possible to effectively integrate multi-unit plants into complete systems. The company's strong process orientation also makes it possible to deliver meaningful input into projects through process development and optimisation, as well as equipment selection.
Process Plant Technology has a flexible approach to contract execution. We have built up relationships with different contracting organisations allowing us to select the contractor preferred by the client. We are then integrated into the clients team to provide a seamless service to the client.

Process Plant Technology represents global technology and equipment vendors who are leaders in their fields of expertise and are selected to be complementary to one another. With these technologies and those of our network of alliance partners, systems and processes can be evaluated as integral production units with an understanding of the inter-relationships between the various unit operations. This enables Process Plant Technology to provide unique and innovative solutions and to assume total plant responsibility from feed through to product.

Technology sourcing development and integration
The Process Plant Technology engineering team has experience in development of technology from concept to a fully operational installation. The company has a track record in developing complex processes using technology supplied by clients or sourced by Process Plant Technology on their behalf.

Test Facilities
Evaporation and crystallisation test facilities currently include laboratory scale equipment, which allow us to establish design data and confirm the optimum design configuration for a full scale plant. We are in the process of building a pilot plant which has been designed to operate as a forced circulation evaporator / crystalliser.

Test facilities for drying, filtration and membrane processes are available through our principals or alliance partners.
