Distillation, Absorption & Stripping

Process Plant Technology designs and supplies distillation plants to recover solvents and specialised organic compounds. Reference plants include methanol, ethanol, turpentine and furfural recovery. Computer modeling is used to ensure an optimal and economic design.

Gas absorption and stripping systems using packed or tray towers are also offered. These can be integrated with particulate removal scrubbers where required.

Process Plant Technology has recently been involved in two systems for ammonia recovery from high pH slurries. The stripping columns were designed for high ammonia recovery and the aqueous ammonia produced at spelified concentration (10 - 20% as NH₃)
